Positioned in the middle of downtown Boulder, the Columbine Office Building truly challenged the construction expertise of the Drahota professionals. The site was a vacant lot between two three-story structures. No lot lines defined the property and a staging area for work crews was non-existent. During site excavation, the Drahota team discovered old oil tanks that posed a threat to the soil. They had to be removed with extreme caution and were relocated to a secure site out-of-state. After these accommodations, the project continued. The Columbine Office Building was a successful project for all team members and is aesthetically pleasing to the ownership and the community.
