This 60,000 square foot health and rehab building, located on the main campus of Columbine Health Systems, serves as an interim care facility for patients leaving the hospital and transitioning back home. This facility is one of few rehab centers in the area to offer a full service commercial kitchen, beauty / hair styling facility, physical therapy & rehab exercise rooms. Also, each patient room is fully equipped with exterior windows, private bathroom, medical gasses, and nurse call systems. Challenging the construction team was the addition of a state-of-the-art patient lift system in all 90 patient rooms. This advanced system allows for patient security and mobility in multiple directions anywhere in their room. The addition was an afterthought during construction so it had to be phased in through extensive retrofit without delaying the completion date.
